Α 1960s coat for a woman and her doll.

One of the pleasures of sewing is to make identical clothes for you and your favorite doll, whenever the fabric is allowing it. This is one of these cases: a coat made from heavy denim, unlined, suitable from mid-Spring until the beginning of Automn. It has a distinctive 1967 straigh line, a litlle bit tapered at the hem and a 1967 tropical pink color. The collar is flat pointy and the pockets patched.

 

 

The bust is shaped by two vertical darts that begin from the shoulders.

 

Two more darts coming from the back of the sleeve seam, help the back side of the coat to remain straight, without bumps. All darts and seams are top-stitched.

The coat is part of a suit, it has also a pair of pants like the one the doll is wearing (cigarette line, shaped belt, side zipper,  

Unfortunateley, the pants for the adult woman were not available the day of the photo shooting.

The sewing and the pattern making of those clothes is handmade.
